The Floor Plan Comes First
Start with the room, not the bed. A 90" x 84" needs 12'6" x 10' as an absolute floor, roughly 125 square feet, which buys you 30 inches of clearance on each side and at the foot and six inches for the headboard.

Measure before you specify
